University & Careers

The majority of Sixth form students go on to higher education and all students are supported throughout the process of choosing and applying to university courses by tutors, sixth form staff and the school’s careers and higher education adviser.

Students are encouraged to research higher education options carefully, including visiting universities and attending taster events. Visiting speakers from universities and employers contribute to the annual UCAS day for students.

At Montessori Schools we operate an open access policy, with students able to call in for information and advice, or make appointments for longer discussions. Any of our tutors can gives additional advice and support to those students applications for University Entrance.

A comprehensive programme of support is also provided for students applying for medicine, dentistry, Law and Pharmaceutical Sciences.

The school places a strong emphasis on providing for every individual, and the careers and higher education adviser is also available to support any students considering a change of direction at any stage during their sixth form studies. Students choosing to go straight into employment receive advice on job opportunities and applications.
